Founded in 1920 as a specialist in marine electronics, Karl Dose has consistently expanded its product range to other sectors. Karl Dose’s range of products is therefore diverse. Think floodlights, searchlights, container sockets and equipment for electrical installations. Karl Dose’s products are designed for the special requirements of shipping, marine and hazardous areas. Karl Dose has also developed products for water management.

Based on knowledge and experience gained from making marine lighting, Karl Dose has adapted the floodlights to withstand the humid and cold environment of a water chamber. Karl Dose’s high-quality and durable floodlights are used in more than 100 water chambers. Various lighting products for the drinking water sector will be featured on this page. All products covered are specifically tailored to the requirements of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW) in the drinking water sector.

To meet the high requirements of the DVGQ guidelines, only high-quality stainless steel with electro-polished surfaces is used. As a result, no material can peel off from the floodlights.

HYDRA underwater floodlight

Not every water chamber is the same. It is not always possible to install fittings above water. For this reason, Karl Dose has developed the HYDRA underwater floodlight. The HYDRA floodlight can be installed both above- and underwater and is made of certified components. For this reason, it is one of the few floodlights suitable for underwater use in drinking water environments.

The larger variant, the HYDRA TL, is designed as a mobile submersible floodlight. It is ideal for inspecting shafts or wells when you do not have permanent lighting installed. It can be lowered from above and with the weight at the end, it stays vertical. The lamp has a 360° beam angle, creating good visibility in every direction.

AURIGA LED floodlight

For lighting small to medium-sized water chambers, the AURIGA floodlights are a good option. With its uniform light distribution and light output of up to 8000 lumens, it is our bestseller for the drinking water sector. These floodights adapt to the humid and cold environment of a water chamber. The AURIGA features a classic design with state-of-the-art LED technology.

SERPENS tube lamp

The SERPENS is a real ‘all-rounder’. It is a powerful tube lamp that can be installed almost anywhere thanks to its adjustable mounting brackets. It is smaller and lighter than most multipurpose lamps while having a higher light output than most of its kind. As we have come to expect from Karl Dose, this lamp consists of the best materials. You will therefore be able to use the SERPENS for many years.

TUCANA floodlight

The most advanced floodlight for the drinking water industry. Pioneering in form and function through a modern and slim design. The TUCANA is available in four different sizes with a light output of up to 30,000 lm. This line of floodlights has the capacity to illuminate even the largest water chambers.

As for the other floodlights, we use only high-quality electro-polished stainless steel, as well as other water-compliant materials. Annual lamp replacement or repair is no longer necessary if you choose a floodlight from the durable TUCANA family.
